Willie T. Sutton

Willie T. Sutton, a cherished soul who embraced life with a vibrant spirit, passed away on February 15, 2025, in Tylertown, Mississippi. Born on October 9, 1939, to the late George Sutton Sr. And Willie Mae Collins Lee in Louisiana . Willie lived a life filled with joy and laughter, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.

From his early days, Willie was known for his fun-loving personality. He attended The W.M.H. Hoitzclaw School in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, and found solace and community at Pine Grove Baptist Church in his hometown. It was there he cultivated his relationships, building a circle of friends and family that would stand by him through all walks of life. Willie was truly a "kool guy," whose zest for life was contagious and inspired those around him to embrace each moment fully.

Willie's family reflects the love he poured into his life. He leaves behind his cherished loved ones, including seven kids Brooksie Kamara (Amadu), Troy Sutton (Shannon), Roy Sutton, Beverly Heno, Stacey McGee (Jason), Willie T. Sutton Jr. (Teresa), Priscilla Catchings (Johnthon), and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Each of them carries a piece of Willie's spirit, treasured memories of laughter, and the lessons learned from a man who truly exemplified the joy of living.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Sutton Jr. and William Sutton, and two sisters, Estella Sutton and Ora Nell Sutton Berry. They are together now, watching over their beloved family with pride and love.

Willie T. Sutton will always be remembered for his charismatic personality and his unwavering ability to bring a smile to those around him. His presence in the lives of family and friends will be profoundly missed, but the love he shared will forever illuminate their hearts.

A visitation honoring his remarkable life will take place on February 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Services, LLC, located at 421 West Cunningham Ave., Terry, Mississippi. As we gather to celebrate Willie’s life, we invite all who knew him to share in the stories and laughter that defined this incredible man.
