Roy Lee Darden

 Roy Lee Darden was born on April 2, 1957 to the late Leroy Jenkins and Mary Alma Carter in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. 

 He accepted Christ at an early age and again on July 11, 2024. Roy Lee attend Parish High School in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.

 Roy was united in holy matrimony to the late Dorethea Hunley on July 25, 1975. He departed this life on July 12, 2024 at Saint Dominic Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Jenkins; his mother, Mary Alma Carter; grandmother, Sally Williams; two brothers, Earnest Carter and Ivory Lee Carter. 

 Roy leaves to cherish his memory: six children, Myron (Yulonda) Hunley, Latonda (Reuben) Shearrill; Charlotte (Joe) Hilliard, Roy Darden, Jr., Timothy (Gabielle) Darden and Bryant Darden; twenty five grandchildren and six great grand children; a special niece, Krystlel Davis; ten sisters, Dorothy Ann Smith, Cynthia Walker Daily, Mary Pendleton, Annie B. Darden, Vivian Faye Adams, Fannie (Jr.) Wilson, Lisa Carter, Ruby Hampton, Irene White and Dora Gayden; five brothers, Roger (Betty) Jenkins, Joe (Beatrice) Jenkins, Jerry Darden, Landrell Carter and Keith Jenkins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
