Obituary:

In loving memory of Jericko LaMon SoJourner, a cherished soul who graced this world with his presence. Jericko's life journey began on a warm day in July 1991 in Hardy Wilson Memorial, Hazlehurst MS, where he brought immense joy to his family, Chad and Shandra Sojourner.

Tragically, on a day shrouded in sorrow, Jericko departed from our midst on March 21, 2024, at UMMC in Jackson MS. His untimely passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Known for his hard-working nature and unwavering care for his family and friends, Jericko touched the lives of many with his kindness and compassion. His legacy will be forever etched in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

Jericko leaves behind a beautiful son, D'Monte DeSean Owens, who will carry forward the light that he brought into the world. He is also survived by his devoted parents, Chad and Shandra Sojourner; his loving brother, Rodrickous Sojourner; his dear sister, Sha'Naya Sojourner; and a multitude of other family members and friends who adored him.

A visitation to honor Jericko's life will be held on March 29, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Services, LLC in Terry MS. A Celebration of Life service will follow on March 30, 2024, at Faith Tabernacle M.B. Church in Crystal Springs MS.

As we mourn the loss of Jericko LaMon SoJourner, let us also celebrate the profound impact he had during his time with us. May his spirit find peace and may his memory be a source of comfort to all who grieve his absence. Rest in peace, dear Jericko.
