Christy Renee Jenkins

Christy Renee Jenkins, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on September 13, 2023. She was born on October 27, 1988, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Christy was known for her kindness, warmth, and infectious laughter. Her gentle spirit touched the lives of many.

Christy's educational journey began at Hattiesburg High School. She embraced learning and developed a curious mind that she carried throughout her life. Education was important to her, and she strived to expand her knowledge in various fields.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends. Christy is survived by her mother, Monika Jenkins; stepfather Adrian; three sisters: Shania, Sade, and Keyonna, all of Hattiesburg; and one brother Charles of Hattiesburg. The bond between Christy and her siblings was unbreakable and full of love.

In addition to her immediate family, Christy leaves behind cherished memories with her grandparents: Bettye Jenkins, Eddie (Deloise) Jenkins, and Lessie Mae Payton, all from Hattiesburg. She held a special place in their hearts as their grandchild.

Christy also had a close relationship with her extended family members. She treasured the times spent with her four uncles: Charles Page, Bruce Tanksley, Charles Tanksley, and Andrew Payton - all residing in Hattiesburg. Aunt Mercy Evans-Williams was someone she shared a profound connection with as well.

A visitation will be held on September 23, 2023 at Hevelston Road Church Of Christ in Hattiesburg. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend between the hours of 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM to pay their respects.

Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will take place at the same location. It will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, allowing all who knew Christy to come together, share memories, and honor her remarkable life.

Christy Renee Jenkins will be remembered as a beacon of light in the lives she touched. Her genuine care for others, coupled with her warm smile, made her a true friend to many. We will forever hold her memory in our hearts.

In this time of grief, let us find solace in the fact that Christy's spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. May we remember her for the love she shared, the joy she brought, and the impact she made on this world.
